My favorite is french fries with some ketchup-mayo sauce.

This recipe is made mainly with boiled potatoes – it also contains a dressing and other ingredients such as herbs and vegetables.
I’ve always been a fan of potato salads, and I do love it when it’s served warm.
It’s widely considered that this well-known side dish originated in Germany, spreading through Europe, then America, and later Asia.
There are different ways to make this recipe, but the result is the same – a great side dish!

The ingredients used in this recipe are fundamental, so you should find most of them in your cupboard right now.

- Escallion
- Onion

- Hard Boiled Egg
Dressing
- Mayonnaise
- All-Purpose Seasoning
- Lime Juice
- Jalapeno Powder
How To Make Classic Potato Salad
This classic potato salad is the perfect side dish for any family dinner.
Or you can make it for a cookout or a nice backyard barbeque.
It’s easy to make, plus the best part is you can make it in advance.
Don’t show up empty-handed this Thanksgiving holiday!
- In a small pot, add water and leave to boil. Add potatoes to boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes.
- Once the potatoes are tender, run cold water over them to stop the cooking process of the potatoes.
- Toss potatoes, bell peppers, carrots, string beans, corn, escallion, onion, butter, and egg together until combined.
- Make a dressing using mayo, jalapeno powder, lime juice, and all-purpose seasoning.
- Add dressing to potato mix and combine.
- Cover with cling wrap and place in the refrigerator to chill or serve immediately.

Growing up, my family would serve this dish with our favorite Sunday dinner.
On most Sundays, we’d have Rice and Peas served with Turkey Neck.

How To Store Your Potato Salad
Store leftovers in an airtight container in your refrigerator for 3-4 days.
I don’t recommend reheating since we added mayonnaise to the dish.
However, you can remove it from the refrigerator and allow it to defrost or chill at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.

Ingredients
- 2-3 large russet potatoes diced
- 1 large carrot finely cubed/diced
- ½ cup sweet corn
- ½ cup string beans green beans
- ¼ cup onion finely chopped
- ¼ cup escallion finely chopped
- ¼ cup bell peppers green/red
- 1 egg boiled, diced
- 1 tsp butter
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp jalapeno powder
- 1 tbsp all-purpose seasoning
- ½ tsp lime juice
Instructions
- In a small pot, add water and leave to boil. Add potatoes to boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes.
- Once the potatoes are tender, run cold water over them to stop the cooking process of the potatoes.
- Add everything except the mayo, jalapeno powder, and all-purpose seasoning to a large bowl. Mix to combine.
- Add remaining ingredients and toss together until combined.
- Cover with cling wrap and place in the refrigerator to chill or serve immediately.
