Who Is TheShyFoodBlogger?

“Fast-forwarding to now, I started to do some research into blogging, especially with food. I wanted to know how to share my cooking journey, and here we are – TheShyFoodBlogger was born.”

Hey, TheShyFoodBlogger here, and welcome to my world of loving food.

My name is Paula-Ann, and I LOVE food.

I’ve always been called a “foodie,” and I now realize that is so true.

One thing about me and my food is I have always loved trying new dishes and experiencing new flavors and aromas.

Nothing is better than cooking a new recipe and seeing it come out fabulous and delicious.

I’ve been cooking since high school, and my passion grew there.

I would look forward to practical days where we’d use the knowledge gained to move recipes from paper to plate.

It wasn’t an easy journey, as I didn’t have the best financial support, and cooking can be costly when getting the right ingredients.

However, if you’re passionate like I am, you won’t let that stop you from pursuing what you love.

After High School...

After high school, it was getting harder to pursue my cooking dreams, but I was persistent.

I took a course in Commercial Food Preparation, did great, and even graduated.

After landing a job at a sandwich shop, it was a nice gig for a while, but it didn’t put my skills to great use.

Plus, it didn’t pay well, and Mr. Bill was always knocking each month.

So I left, got a regular 9-5 job, and decided that I could make use of my skills in other ways.

Fast-forwarding to now, I started to do some research into blogging, especially with food.

I wanted to know how to share my cooking journey, and here we are – TheShyFoodBlogger was born.

I’ve always been bold but shy, too, so that’s how the name came about.

I want to use this opportunity to blog, not be shy anymore, and be proud of my work.

In doing this, I want others to know they’re not alone.

I hope you enjoy this journey with me posting about food as I take you through my kitchen.

P.S. I also wanted to share that I moved with my hubby to the Cayman Islands. So, I am using a section of my blog to share my adventures here.

You can check it out here.

I’ll also be taking you guys on adventures to different restaurants and places I’ll be visiting to try out new flavors and experiences.

You can follow me on Instagram @theshyfoodblogger and my other socials below to see everything about food.
