Pineapple Honey Glazed Ham (Holiday Ham)
Make the holidays great with this delicious Christmas Ham, perfect for the whole family. The sweet and tangy flavors of pineapple, honey, and mustard are some of the main ingredients to make this tasty holiday ham.
This holiday ham recipe is one of my all-time favorite holiday dishes.
I’m a bit late in posting this recipe as I’ve been so busy throughout the holidays and out sick with the flu at the start of the year.
I’m back and better than ever, so let’s get right into this recipe.
I decided to make a Christmas ham this year as D’s company would provide the workers with a yearly holiday thank-you package.
The package would include the option of a turkey or ham, and since last year, I made a holiday turkey – this year, it’s ham!
So, I was very excited to put my skills to the test this holiday season as this will be my first time baking a ham.
Selecting The Right Holiday Ham
The bone-in option for selecting the best ham is always a go-to for many.
You can select your ham, uncooked or cooked; I got a fully cooked hickory smoked ham.
Plus, it’s spiral!
I remember my mom would get the unspiral, bone-in ham.
These days, I notice that people get spiral-cut ham, which means the ham is pre-cut with slices before packaging.
We got a Smithfield Spiral Hickory Smoked Ham, which made it easy for me as a beginner to make the perfect ham.
Ingredients To Use
Given my first time making a holiday ham, I wanted it to be really succulent and flavorful.
Also, it’s D’s favorite food, so I wanted to impress him.
- Meat: spiral ham (smoked)
- Seasoned Rub: all-purpose seasoning, jalapeno powder, cumin, brown sugar, ginger, chili powder, mustard, salt, cinnamon, honey
- Sauce: pineapple juice, lime juice, brown sugar, butter, pineapple slices
- Cloves
- Maraschino Cherries
Inspiration for this recipe is from one of my favorite TikTok chefs, Tini.
She’s popularly known for making a lot of her recipes from scratch. So shout out to her!
